Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Massillon, OH, seeks a Mechanical Engineering co-op to support reliability and project engineering efforts at PCA mills. This role involves working with engineering, maintenance, operations and outside resources to improve mill safety, efficiency, and equipment performance.

The position offers hands-on experience with predictive maintenance, data analysis, and capital project support, including exposure to AutoCAD, CMMS (Trident), and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and permanent U.S. residency with a valid driver's license.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field and have completed freshman year (or will have completed).

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical reliability assignments to improve mill safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Apply lubrication practices, alignment, vibration analysis, and root cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Collect and analyze mill data for process optimization and decision-making.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with capital projects and project coordination for the mechanical co-op.
• Use AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, CMMS (Trident) to perform tasks.
• Support mill operations and safety improvements.
