Job summary

Aero Simulation, Inc. seeks a Mechanical CAD/Drafter to support the development and delivery of sophisticated simulation and training devices. You will create CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and prepare production packages for manufacture.

The role requires 3+ years of drafting experience, an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Occasional travel and a flexible work schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of practical experience using parametric modeling/drafting software, preferably Solidworks.
• Experience using 2D CAD Programs such as AutoCad.
• Experience using software tools commonly used in engineering work environments such as Microsoft Windows, MS Office, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Mechanical Engineering to produce, and release for production, CAD models and drawings of electro-mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and parts that are manufacturable, ergonomic, reliable, and maintainable.
• Provides build support to manufacturing in the form of resolving design and documentation issues during production phases, and documenting changes by creating engineering change documents.
• Supports Mechanical Engineering with development of presentation materials for customer meetings including requirement reviews, design reviews and acceptance testing.
