Job summary

Advanced Technology Systems Company in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an Engineering Draftsman to translate design inputs into production-ready drawings and documentation for aerospace and defense systems. This role focuses on maintaining configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma required.
• At least 2 years of experience preparing engineering drawings and documentation in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain drawings from sketches, models, markups, and design direction.
• Develop and revise 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Prepare drawing packages, BOMs, parts lists, and related documentation.
• Apply dimensions, tolerances, notes, materials, finishes, and hardware callouts.
• Incorporate changes and redlines; maintain revisions and released documentation.
• Support release and maintenance of data in SolidWorks PDM or other PDM system.
• Check drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to drafting standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and manufacturing to resolve questions and improve manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds, production transition, and documentation updates.
