Job summary

Aero Simulation, Inc. (ASI) seeks an Electrical CAD Drafter to design and detail electrical components and complex assemblies using AutoCAD. You will collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical CAD teams to ensure accurate, manufacturable system diagrams, wirelists, and cable drawings that integrate into overall designs.

The role requires AutoCAD proficiency, electrical CAD experience, and MS Office, with MID to SENIOR level experience in aircraft or flight simulators preferred. U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology with advanced CAD coursework.
• MID – Equivalent experience to education and three years’ experience related to aircraft or flight simulations.
• SENIOR – Equivalent experience to education and seven years’ experience related to aircraft or flight simulation.

Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCAD system prints, cable drawings, and top-level electrical assemblies per standards and customer specs.
• Generate Excel wirelists from system prints to aid manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing by resolving design and documentation issues during production.
• Document changes to electrical drawings by creating engineering change documents.
• Support development of presentation materials for customer meetings including requirement and design reviews.
• Assist with configuration audits and customer events as needed.
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters to develop cohesive electrical designs.
• Handle systems including power distribution, grounding, I/O distribution, networking, and related safety features.
