Job summary

Ghafari Associates invites engineering interns to work in-office at our Dearborn, MI or Birmingham, AL locations from May to August 2027. You will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases under supervision.

As part of the team, you’ll cooperate with engineers, create and revise drawings, ensure cross-discipline coordination, and contribute to 3D modeling as needed for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university.
• Must have completed at least two years of classes.
• Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD technology with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Collaborate with engineers during design phase to understand project scope.
• Provide limited design input and detail design documents with engineers.
• Make corrections and produce final documents for engineers for review.
• Check for integration of sections and coordinate disciplines.
• Produce drawings and 3D models as needed.
