Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a Structural Engineering intern to work fully in-office at our Dearborn, MI and Grand Rapids, MI locations for May–August 2027. The intern will apply CAD and Revit skills to generate engineering designs and digital models under supervision.

Responsibilities include drafting in AutoCAD/Revit, supporting engineers, and coordinating document sets. Preference is given to candidates with prior internship experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university.
• Students should have completed at least (2) years of classes.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD tools (AutoCAD/Revit).
• Assist engineers during the design phase to understand project data needs.
• Provide drawings and 3D models as directed by engineers.
• Coordinate document sections and resolve coordination issues with engineers.
