Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking an engineering intern to work fully in-office in our Dearborn, MI or Birmingham, AL location for the period of May - August 2027. The Intern will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering design documents and digital models for HVAC and plumbing infrastructure across facilities such as industrial, educational, healthcare and mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
• Students should have completed at least 2 years of classes.
• Familiarity with heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics is preferred.
• Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD tools (AutoCAD and Revit).
• Work with engineers to understand project data needs and guidelines.
• Provide limited design input and detail drawings.
• Make corrections and produce final documents for review and coordination.
• Reproduce documents upon request and support 3D modeling.
