Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks a summer intern to work in-office at Dearborn, MI or Birmingham, AL for May–August 2027. The intern will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering design documents and 3D models under supervision, coordinating with engineers to ensure accurate, integrated drawings.

Eligible candidates are engineering students who have completed at least two years of coursework. Prior internship experience is a plus, and strong communication skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university.
• Students should have completed at least 2 years of classes.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project scope and design data needs.
• Provide limited design input on documents and assist with detailing.
• Refine drawings and ensure coordination across disciplines.
• Produce final documents for engineers’ review and reproduce documents on request.
• Create 3D design models as needed and support project delivery.
• Support the team with problem solving and related duties.
