Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a Structural Engineering intern to work in-office at our Dearborn, MI and Grand Rapids, MI locations for May–August 2027. You will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering drawings and digital models under supervision.

Students currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering with at least two years of coursework completed will gain hands-on experience, collaborating with engineers and contributing to project design efforts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil/structural engineering degree, with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus.
• Proficient in CAD software and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit).
• Collaborate with engineers during the design phase to determine data needs and guidelines.
• Produce and revise drawings and digital design models for review. Ensure coordination across disciplines.
• Reproduce and deliver final documents; resolve coordination issues with engineers.
