Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a summer intern to work in-office in Dearborn, MI or Birmingham, AL from May to August 2027. The intern will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases, under supervision from discipline managers and project engineers.

Responsibilities include creating CAD drawings, coordinating designs with engineering teams, and producing final documents for review.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university.
• Students should have completed at least 2 years of coursework.
• Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project scope and data needs.
• Provide design input and detailed drawings with guidance from engineers.
• Produce final documents after engineers review and corrections.
• Coordinate sections and disciplines for integrated documents.
• Assist with 3D models and design data in software as needed.
