Mechanic Technician - Full Time - Evenings

Job Overview

Provide repair, preventative maintenance, installation, and other miscellaneous services to hospital utility, structure, and non-medical hospital equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Install, repair, and maintain components and systems such as electric lighting, heating, cooling, casework, windows, doors, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and analyze problems with beds and other systems like sky-light TV and Trans-logic tube systems.
3. Assist in training personnel, practice safety, and maintain tools and equipment.
4. Coordinate repairs, furniture moves, and manage PM assignments.
5. Answer service calls and input/complete work orders in the POM’s system.
6. Perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills: High school diploma required; 5 years of experience preferred. Trade courses or experience preferred. Ability to read schematic drawings, welding/brazing skills, self-directed, and able to prioritize tasks.

Licenses & Certifications: HAZ Mat certification preferred; respirator use required for ETO gas. Must work weekends and holidays as needed.
