Job: EVS Specialist

Location: W&B- 690 Good Drive

Hours: Full-Time - Evenings, 2:00pm-11:00pm, Mon-Fri

Summary:

• Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Manager or Administrative Supervisor, the EVS Specialist maintains hospital and hospital-owned properties, including floor refinishing, scrubbing, carpet shampooing, and furniture cleaning, as well as routine housekeeping functions and special projects.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Clean all environmental surfaces including furniture, beds, bathroom fixtures, window sills, door frames, vents, televisions, walls, baseboards, light fixtures, and windows following universal precautions.
• Refinish floors through machine scrubbing, stripping, and applying floor finish.
• Respond to routine requests via pager.
• Shampoo furniture and bonnet extract carpets as needed.
• Follow safety protocols regarding universal precautions, MSDS, and recycling operations.
• Dispose of, transfer, or store hospital furniture, equipment, and supplies properly.
• Remove, wash, and rehang cubicle curtains, shower curtains, and window treatments.
• Clean rooms, hallways, stairs, bathrooms, and offices by mopping and drying as appropriate.
• Secondary Duties:
• Manage refuse and soiled linen disposal following safety guidelines.
• Report repairs needed for hospital property and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
