Job Description

To provide repair, preventative maintenance, installation, and other miscellaneous services to hospital utility, structure, and non-medical hospital equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Install, repair, and maintain various components and systems such as electric lighting, heating, cooling, casework, windows, doors, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and analyze problems with beds and other systems such as sky-light TV and Trans-logic tube systems.
3. Assist in training other personnel, practice safety, and maintain tools and equipment as appropriate.
4. Coordinate repairs and furniture moves; manage PM's assignments.
5. Answer service calls and input and complete work orders in the POM's work order system.
6. Perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Trade courses or experience preferred. Ability to read schematic drawings that are necessary for certain work. Welding/Brazing preferred. Ability to be self-directed and prioritize tasks.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

Certification in HAZ Mat preferred. Required to wear a respirator for ETO gas. Works, weekend shifts, and holidays as required.
