Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead a busy Meat & Seafood team, guiding product quality, inventory, and service excellence. You will support the Meat & Seafood Manager, drive department productivity, and ensure safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires leadership and a customer-focused mindset with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a temperature-controlled store setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years professional experience, proven leadership experience, and 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat department processes and procedures is highly preferred.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure freshness and quality following receiving, stocking and unloading procedures.
