Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat & Seafood department in delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. You will help manage daily operations, supervise team members, and focus on fresh, safe, and customer-focused service in a fast-paced store environment.

This role requires leadership, inventory management, and a commitment to health and safety standards while supporting the store’s busy meat and seafood section.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with Math and weights knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience and 2-3 years grocery retail meat department experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a busy team and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, sanitation guidelines and Weights & Measures regulations.
