The role involves assisting in hiring, training, and ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards. You will oversee ordering, inventory controls, and daily operations to maintain freshness and high standards in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with basic math, weights and measures.
• Minimum 2 years pro experience and proven leadership in grocery retail meat dept.
• 2–3 years meat department experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Able to lift 25–90 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in department merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver the finest quality of product and service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Enforce safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and company procedures.
