Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat & Seafood team, provide exceptional customer service, and help drive department profitability in a fast-paced store. You will assist the Meat & Seafood Manager with leadership, training, and supervision of staff, while upholding quality and safety standards.

This role involves inventory control, ordering, merchandising, and coordinating production and sales, with emphasis on freshness and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math, weights and measures.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience and 2-3 years grocery retail meat dept experience preferred.
• Need leadership ability and reliability; ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills; adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in supervising and merchandising the department.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and staff supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Support hiring, training and development of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and Weights & Measures regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of equipment; adapt to fast-paced environment.
