Job summary

Work occurs in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas; you will help maintain USDA-compliant practices, manage data for yield tests, and collaborate with teammates to meet deadlines and control costs.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform math calculations and conversions for orders.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and communicating in English.
• Prior experience with portion cutting meat.

Responsibilities

• Direct short-term flow and organization of the production area.
• Cut to trim and yield specifications per tickets.
• Communicate discrepancies between tickets and customer purchases to supervisor.
• Label products and equipment to meet regulations.
• Record data for cutting yield tests.
• Count inventory and maintain supervisor-set levels.
• Ensure product specs meet guidelines.
• Maintain USDA-compliant work areas.
• Assemble and teardown equipment at shift start/end.
• Clean and store knives, scales, etc.
• Support profitability by achieving yields and deadlines.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Participate in safety program and follow safe practices.
