Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Meat Department team member at our location in Fenton, MI. This role prepares, packages, displays, and stocks meat products to support guest experience and store profitability while adhering to company standards.

You will follow safety and food safety guidelines, assist with merchandising and stock rotation, and collaborate with other departments. A high school diploma and basic math skills are preferred; physical effort and standing for long periods are required.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and interprets documents and labels.
• Performs basic arithmetic for weights, portions and inventories.
• Maintains accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Physical work: standing, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products according to plan.
• Package and label meat products per program.
• Merchandise and stock meat products per flight plan and merchandising standards.
• Stock backroom with meat products, rotate and date cases.
• Notify Meat Manager when supplies need reordering.
• Work collaboratively with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Communicate recipes, weights, measures and steps to associates.
