Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Meat Department Associate in Grand Rapids, MI to prepare, package, label, and merchandise meat products. This role demands accuracy, attention to safety guidelines, and teamwork with store departments to drive sales and guest satisfaction.

Typical duties include stocking the meat backroom, rotating products, and notifying the Meat Manager for orders. The position emphasizes safety, food safety, and guest experience in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products to production planner.
• Package and label meat products per program plan.
• Merchandise meat products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with meat products, rotating and dating cases.
• Notify the Meat Manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and stores to grow SpartanNash Retail.
