Job summary

SpartanNash in Granger, Indiana is seeking a part-time Meat Associate to prepare, package, display and stock meat products while ensuring guest experience and safety standards are met. You’ll rotate and date cases, coordinate with the Meat Manager on orders, and work collaboratively with store teams.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing skills and attention to detail, with a positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety and quality in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• One year of retail or related experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Meat Products to Production Planner
• Package and Label Meat Products per program plan
• Merchandise Meat Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations
• Stock Backroom with Meat Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
