Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to help run the meat department, ensuring quality, inventory accuracy, and adherence to company standards. The role includes supervising staff and maintaining efficient daily operations in a warehouse/retail setting.

The ideal candidate has experience in meat, grocery, or retail environments, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. Knowledge of Excel is a plus for inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to identify product quality issues and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the meat department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotation
• Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Support and supervise department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays
• Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies
