Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the meat department’s daily operations, quality control, and inventory accuracy. You will help supervise staff and ensure standards are met across safety, presentation, and merchandising.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on product handling, inventory discipline, and adherence to company policies. This position is typically performed in a warehouse/retail setting with scheduled hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of product handling and inventory practices.
• Ability to identify product quality issues and maintain safety standards.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the meat department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotation.
• Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards.
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items.
• Support and supervise department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures.
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays.
• Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies.
