Job summary

ShopRite Sparta is seeking a proactive Meat Manager to direct all functions of the Meat Department in RoNetco NJ. You will supervise Associates, ensure safety compliance, and drive sales and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to manage cold storage, inventory, and department operations to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for scheduled shifts.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80–90 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and handle dust/cleaning agents.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and interact with customers.
• Ability to lead and engage Associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Meat Department and its Associates.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with company policies.
• Lead training and onboarding of department staff.
• Maintain temperature logs and production schedules.
• Uphold Customer Experience, Presentation, and Efficiency priorities.
• Collaborate with Store Management to meet sales and profit goals.
• Manage daily operations, staffing, and vendor relations.
