Job summary

ShopRite of Sussex/Wantage is seeking a Meat Manager to direct all Meat Department functions and lead a team to achieve sales, profit, and customer experience goals. The role requires strong leadership, safety, and merchandising expertise in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualified candidates will manage safety programs, training, and daily operations while upholding ShopRite standards. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered with opportunities to grow within the RoNetco NJ family.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include the ability to read, write, speak English and perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts and perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and tolerate varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers and lead associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Meat Department and its Associates.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Engage and lead Associates to achieve department goals and strong customer experience.
• Maintain temperature logs, production sheets, and proper pricing/stocking.
