Job summary

ShopRite of Somers Point is seeking a Meat Manager to direct the Meat Department and its associates, driving sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement under the guidance of the General Store Manager.

The role requires leading essential safety, freshness, and presentation standards, scheduling, training, and strong customer service. Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 90 lbs are required, with a focus on teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for a full shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Meat Department functions and associates.
• Drive sales, profit, and customer experience in the department.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals and engagement.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and quality standards in the department.
• Ensure accurate pricing, stocking, and product rotation.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new department staff.
• Oversee department schedules and attendance in line with policies.
