Job summary

ShopRite of Woodbridge in Woodbridge, NJ is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department, supervise associates, and drive safety, sales, and customer experience. You will coordinate operations, ensure food safety, and uphold company service priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Applicants must pass safety standards, be physically capable of lifting and standing for long shifts, and demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork to engage staff and meet department goals.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to perform basic computer functions.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Able to lead associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Meat Department to meet department goals.
• Ensure food safety, safety policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper product display in the department.
• Greet customers, provide service, and promote promotions.
• Onboard and train new department associates and provide ongoing feedback.
• Lead and engage associates to foster teamwork and positive customer experience.
