Job summary

ShopRite of Somerville is seeking a Meat Manager to direct all functions of the Meat Department, drive sales and ensure exceptional customer service. The role reports to the General Store Manager and requires strong leadership and knowledge of meat operations.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift 35 lbs regularly; up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and with cleaning agents.
Ability to lead and engage Associates toward department goals.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise Meat Department operations to achieve sales, profit, and customer experience goals.
Inspect and ensure product quality, safety, and proper display in the meat area.
Train and develop department Associates and manage onboarding and scheduling.
Maintain safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance for all meat operations.
