Job summary

ShopRite of Netcong in Netcong, NJ is seeking a Meat Manager to direct the Meat Department and supervise Associates to achieve sales, profit, and Customer Experience goals. The role reports to the General Store Manager and emphasizes safety, presentation, and efficiency in daily operations.

Responsibilities include leading the department, training staff, ensuring HAACP and food safety procedures, maintaining proper temperature logs, and delivering a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. regularly and up to 80-90 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with various products and temperatures.
• Ability to climb ladders and interact with customers.
• Ability to lead Associates toward department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Meat Department operations to achieve goals.
• Ensure safety, presentation, and efficiency in department.
• Coordinate staff and training for department needs.
• Maintain cleanliness, pricing, and inventory control.
• Support customer experience and engagement initiatives.
• Uphold company safety certifications and regulatory compliance.
