Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the RoNetco NJ Meat Department. Direct supervision of associates, drive department goals, and ensure safety, quality, and customer service standards. Requires strong leadership, teamwork, and adherence to food safety protocols.

Responsibilities include training, performance coaching, inventory control, and maintaining equipment and cleanliness across the department, while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Able to perform basic math and data entry.
• Able to stand/walk for full shifts and lift up to 90 lbs.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Meat Department and its associates.
• Lead department goals in sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Onboard and train new department associates; provide feedback and coaching.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper storage and labeling of products.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, temperature logs, and QA standards.
• Oversee proper equipment use and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Maintain staffing to meet sales and customer needs.
