Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to stock and maintain meat cases, assist customers, and uphold safety standards in our Midwest store. You will cut, weigh, wrap, label products, and ensure proper temperatures and freshness throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Preferred 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship program completed preferred.
• Experience in natural foods industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock meat cases; ensure tag and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness of meat aisles and work areas for safety.
• Monitor rotation and expiration of meat products.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and meat dept equipment.
• Prepare specialty meat/seafood products per Fresh Thyme recipes.
