Perch's IGA in Alpena, MI is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. You will trim and prepare standard cuts, operate the meat department, and follow the store’s merchandising plan to drive sales.

The role emphasizes maintaining high sanitation, ensuring cold chain integrity, and delivering quality products while upholding profitability. On-site, you will work with weekly schedules and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 60lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cut and trim meat using knives and power equipment
• Package and display meat in an attractive manner
• Order inventory and maintain appropriate levels of stock
• Receive and inspect meat as it arrives to the store
• Ensure the cold chain is unbroken and meat remains high quality
