Job summary

Perchs IGA in Alpena, MI is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to lead the meat department to the store's high standards. You will trim and prepare standard cuts, follow in-store merchandising plans, and help drive sales and profitability.

Responsibilities include cutting with knives and power equipment, packaging and displaying meat attractively, ordering inventory, inspecting arrivals, keeping the cold chain intact, and upholding sanitation and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 60lbs.

Job Summary

As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for operating the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the store’s meat merchandising plan.
