Mertztown Market is hiring an experienced Meat Cutter to operate the meat department and drive sales while maintaining our standards. You will trim and prepare standard cuts according to store guidelines and merchandising plans to maximize profitability.

The role emphasizes equipment operation, proper display, inventory management, and strict sanitation to ensure quality throughout the cold chain.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join the team at our successful store. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for operating the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the store’s meat merchandising plan. The Meat Cutter’s goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability.
