Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated Meat Department Team Member to join our club. You will assist Members with meat selections, prepare specialty cuts, and ensure products are cut, wrapped, and labeled to our quality standards.

You will maintain sanitation, stock levels, and safety protocols while working in a fast-paced retail meat department. Commitment to teamwork and excellent member service is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by recommending meat, poultry, and seafood products and answering questions.
• Prepares special meat cuts ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weighs, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood per packaging standards.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
