Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our Meat department. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, assist in seafood and deli sections, and follow safety standards. The role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members and answer questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by Members.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label meat to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the meat department and equipment.
• Ensure cases are stocked and rotated according to expiration dates.
• Support other departments and perform duties as assigned.
