Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat department team member to stock, cut, and merchandise meat, poultry, seafood, and related products while upholding safety and sanitation standards. You will assist Members, prepare special cuts, and ensure attractive product displays.

The role emphasizes fast, accurate service, collaboration with team members, and adherence to club policies. Requires teamwork, reliability, and a member-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations on meat, poultry and seafood questions.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Maintains all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department.
• Rotates meats and ensures cases are stocked and labeled correctly.
