Job summary

Save-A-Lot in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Meat Cutter to uphold department standards, trim and prepare cuts, and merchandise displays to maximize sales. You will follow the Meat Cutter Resource Manual and align with store policies while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work under the Store Manager, operate knives and power equipment, ensure proper dating and sanitation, assist with product ordering, and maintain cold chain from delivery to display.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Save-A-Lot Meat Cutter Training Program within 3 months.
• Previous experience cutting meat with hand tools and power equipment (knives, slicers, grinders, cubing machine, power saw).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Dependable and flexible; adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items per Save-A-Lot policies.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages according to COOL, USDA and Save-A-Lot standards.
• Maintains displays and case signs updated; merchandises to maximize sales; may assist with ordering.
• Maintains proper date rotation for dated/undated products per policy.
