Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure the meat department operates to company standards, trim and prepare cuts, and present products to maximize sales. You will work under Store Manager direction and collaborate with the Meat Specialist to maintain quality and safety.

The role requires at least one year of meat cutting experience, basic math, and reliable English communication. You may be asked to train teammates and help with stocking, dating, and display updates while upholding food

Qualifications

• One year of prior meat cutting experience.
• Ability to read weights and measurements.
• English reading and writing required; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works under the Store Manager and Meat Specialist guidance.
• Lead meat department to achieve and exceed metric goals.
• Order, merchandise, control shrink, and supervise related tasks.
• Coach and train others performing meat-related duties.
• Set work priorities and direct tasks in the meat department.
• Enforce meat policies and procedures within the store.
• Cut and package beef, pork and poultry per policy.
• Maintain attractive displays and proper labeling per standards.
• Rotate product and manage display cases and storage cooler.
• Wrap, weigh, and price cuts; ensure proper COOL labeling.
• Receive, inspect, and store meat to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Uphold sanitation, safety, and policy compliance.
• May work in multiple store locations.
