Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a Meat Cutter to manage the store meat department, trim and prepare standard cuts, and uphold merchandising and cleanliness standards. The role emphasizes delivering high levels of customer service and maintaining meat quality daily.

Responsibilities include cutting, displaying products, assisting with ordering, and ensuring cold chain integrity, with attention to safety and sanitation per company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw (were certified to cut meat) preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment to cut and package beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies.
• Prepares and displays meat cuts to be attractive and appealing to customers.
• Assist with product ordering.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Ensures sanitation and quality standards daily per Save A Lot policy.
