Job summary

Food City in Wise, VA is seeking a dedicated team member for the meat department. You will cut and merchandise fresh meats, assist with ordering and receiving, and display products while rotating stock and maintaining display cleanliness.

On-site role requiring 18+ years of age, with training provided for those new to meat cutting. Prior experience is a plus but not required, and flexibility to perform routine tasks is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and interact with various levels of individuals daily.
• Must attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind and slice meat.
• Organize cooler layout and stock cooler.
• Rotate product and maintain display cleanliness.
• Ensure neat work stations and proper code dating.
• Enforce HACCP program.
