Job summary

Food City is seeking a team member for the meat department to assist with cutting, grinding and slicing meat, plus merchandising and display. You will help order, receive and organize products, rotate stock, and maintain cleanliness and code dates in display cases.

The role requires adherence to company time and attendance policies and participation in HACCP compliance. Candidates should be at least 18, with meat cutting experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine tasks, and interact with various levels of individuals daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and merchandising of all fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all product.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Rotate product.
• Maintain neat and clean display cases.
• Maintain good code dates on all product in display cases.
• Keep work station neat and surrounding area.
• Department sanitized and disinfected twice a day.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining HACCP program.
