Job summary

Food City is seeking a dependable Meat Department team member in Virginia to cut and merchandise fresh meat, assist in ordering, receiving and display, and support rotation and sanitation tasks.

You will provide efficient customer service, help enforce HACCP, keep displays neat, and ensure accurate dating and stock levels while working on-site with a friendly team. Training is provided, and prior meat cutting is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Able to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions; perform routine tasks.
• Able to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all product.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Arrange and stock cooler; rotate product.
• Maintain neat display cases and proper code dates.
• Sanitize and disinfect department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
• Enforce HACCP program.
