Job summary

Food City in Cedar Bluff, VA is seeking a Meat Department team member to cut, grind, slice and merchandise fresh meat, and to rotate stock and display cases while maintaining neat, clean work areas. The role includes assisting in ordering, receiving and stocking product, enforcing HACCP standards, and delivering efficient customer service.

Meat cutting experience is a plus but not required; on-site availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• On-site work required during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize and stock coolers; rotate product.
• Maintain neat displays and proper product dating.
• Keep display areas clean and sanitized.
• Ensure HACCP procedures are followed and enforced.
• Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
