Food City in Bluefield, VA is seeking a Meat Department Associate to cut and merchandise fresh meat, assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products, grind and slice meat, and help rotate and stock the coolers.

The role requires at least 18 years old, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions and attend on-site shifts. You will keep displays neat, maintain product codes and dates, sanitize work areas, and provide courteous customer service while supporting HACCP.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• On-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind meat and slice meat.
• Organize cooler and stock cooler items.
• Rotate products and maintain proper codes and dates.
• Keep display cases neat and clean and sanitize department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Enforce HACCP program.
