Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Meat Department team member in Southington, CT. You will assist Members with meat, poultry, and seafood, and perform cuts, wrapping, labeling, and stocking to maintain fresh departments.

The role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship, prior meat-cutting experience, and the ability to operate wrapping machines. A collaborative, safety-focused mindset is essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members with meat, poultry, seafood questions and recommendations.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label meats to company standards.
• Rotate and stock meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases; maintain sanitation.
