Job summary

Food City is seeking an on-site Meat Department team member for our Radford location. The role involves cutting and merchandising fresh meat, assisting with ordering, receiving and display, grinding and slicing meat, and maintaining cleanliness and proper dating on all products.

Candidates should be 18+, with meat cutting experience a plus. You will rotate stock, sanitize the area daily, and help enforce HACCP standards while delivering courteous customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and merchandising fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, and displaying products.
• Grind meat and slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Rotate products and maintain display cleanliness.
• Ensure display cases are neat, clean, and properly dated.
• Sanitize and disinfect the department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Help enforce HACCP program.
