Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to keep meat cases stocked and clean while assisting customers with purchases. You will adhere to department procedures, maintain temperature controls, and ensure accurate labeling and dating of products.

The role requires 2+ years in meat department operations, strong customer service, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Weekly pay, scheduling flexibility, and employee discounts are among the offered benefits.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional meat department experience.
• Preferred 2–3 years grocery retail experience in meat.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship completed preferred.
• Experience in natural foods is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Stock meat cases and ensure correct presentation, pricing, and organization.
• Maintain cleanliness of meat aisles, storage areas, and workspaces for safety.
• Monitor rotation of meat products and avoid expired stock.
• Assist customers with purchases and provide product information and cross-sell where appropriate.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for quality and temperature.
• Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Maintain proper temperatures during production of meat and seafood items.
• Cut, tray, and package meat and seafood products as required for the day.
• Ensure proper dating and labeling of products.
• Follow safety practices and use mesh gloves when handling knives.
• Contribute to pre-inventory preparation and back stock management.
• Maintain product knowledge and department organization.
