Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter to rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including special cuts on request. The role supports in seafood, prepared foods, cheeses and deli areas, and collaborates to maintain sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting Members with meat selections, ensuring proper display and inventory, and adhering to club policies. The job emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and speed in a high-volume retail setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members with meat, poultry, and seafood recommendations and special cuts.
• Cuts, weighs, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood to company standards.
• Maintains inventory and ensures proper stocking of meat cases and related departments.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and displays in the meat department.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of this job.
