Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a Meat Cutter at our Marine City, MI location. You will cut, trim and prep various meat cuts, produce value-added products, and ensure pricing and display standards are met. Prior meat-cutting or apprentice experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED required.

You will follow recipes, rotate stock, and assist customers while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Previous meat-cutting experience preferred (apprentice role).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts.
• Grind and tray meats and prepare sausage per recipes.
• Price, date, wrap and bag meat products per guidelines.
• Restock and merchandise shelves, cases and displays.
